Ice-a-geddon 2013...

A week before Christmas we had a MAJOR ice storm that lasted for days. It was so fun! It sleeted and snowed on and off for 2 days, and then the ice lasted for about 4 days. It was crazy cold with temperatures in the single digits. Todd got to stay home from work. We ate soup and chili, napped, watched moveis and played out in the ice.

Snow flakes in lashes...
Ice skating on puddles...

Snow sampling...since we couldn't make our daily run to Sonic...God's ice was a nice substitute.

Almost 5 inches of ice/snow!
So lets make snow ice cream!!!!
Yumm-O!

After day #4, we were going a little stir crazy and running low on bread. So we decided to have a winter adventure and walk to our local Kroger. It is only about 1/4 mile away. We slipped and fumbled our way there, and it was really fun! The girls enjoyed it alot but we were FROZEN. So we celebrated our safe return home with a selfie, a fire in the fireplace and a cup of hot chocolate!
I  know it's weird, but I LOVE bad weather days. So fun to have unexpected days cooped up at home together.
