Headed for....

Our Maggie is headed for "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth"! She lost her 3rd tooth on November 29th. She was so brave about pulling it and excited to see what the tooth fairy had left her. We were staying the night with Todd's parents that night for a visit...and we somehow got coaxed into up-ping the ante since the tooth fairy had to travel. HA!

Before...
After...

Her smile is changing every day, as her remaining teeth have a little "breathing room". She inherited my small/crowded mouth. She has quite the snaggle tooth look going on! Such a cutie!

Stay tuned for pics of them both gone, as the other tooth is already wiggly as I type. I am pretty certain her gappy grin is gonna melt this mama's heart!

League Champions!!!

My darling hubby and his softball team mates won their league championship back in November! He has played on our Sunday Schools church league for 3 years now, and loves it. He enjoys the fellowship, the sport, the exercise, the stress relief and especially the winning. Each season they have gotten better and better. He always says its the most fun when they are winning. He plays at 3rd base, short stop and occasionally fills in out in the outfield. The girls and I love to go watch him and cheer him on.

The championship game was the most fun game we have watched yet. I was on pins and needles and had a hoarse voice by the end of it.
Love the level of sportsmanship among the men...high-fiving after the WIN!
And then Todd led the teams in a time of prayer!
So proud of my little softball player!!!
And these bats girls are pretty cute too!

A day at the Wildlife Ranch...

We recently visited Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch in Pilot Point, Texas. Todd had seen a Groupon for a family 4 pack for $20 and bought it not knowing much about the place. He just knew that his animal loving offspring would likely enjoy it. Boy was he right!!!

We had a great time. It is a large ranch, but its patrons get to enjoy upclose and personal encounters. All the animals were super friendly and calm. We easily got to touch, feed and meet many of them. We will definitely visit again!
We met the zebras...
A sloth...

Some sweet white tail deer...

Sleepy kangaroos...
Some sweet domestic animals in their "petting zoo" area...

Bunny's...
Pot bellie pigs are soooo cute!

Moneky...
Lots of ring tailed Lemurs...

Both the girls got to meet a Lemur up close.

Precious sisters!
So blessed we ARE!!!

What is this, might you wonder??? A Zorse, of course. A mix of a zebra and horse!

Beautiful Clydesdale horse...

Now those are some big feet!

They took us on a trailer ride with feeding buckets thru their acreage to meet the horses, camels and some exotics.
Reindeer...
Ostrich...
Sweet Reindeer couple...wondering where the snow is?
Pregnant zebra...that was due "any day"! Poor girl!
Friendly camels...
Even one with blue eyes...

Black bear...

Kangaroos, awake.
We even got our very own personal cobra show, meeting Cobie the Albino cobra. They weren't out on display because they evidently don't like the cold. It was a cool day, that day. But when Todd asked about them, they got them out just for us!

It was a super fun, family adventure day...complete with to-go food on the way home! Ha! It's the little things, right?

Love to all...only 20 days until Christmas!!! Yay!

Maggie is a GA, and our Mother/daughter banquet...

Our sweet Maggie got to become a GA (Girl in Action) this year at our church, since she is a 1st grader. So far, she has LOVED it. They gather at church each Wednesday for songs, games and learning time with other girls about Missions and spreading the Good News. She has 2 really sweet leaders and a darling youth worker that make her time there wonderful.

Recently she and I got to attend her Mother/Daughter GA banquet. This year marked the 100th Birthday of the GA organizaition nation wide. I was a GA back in my 1-6th grade years too. Pretty special share in the experience with Maggie. We had a yummy meal, had our pictures taken, enjoyed some sweet singing, and got to hear a lovely testimony. A local "missionary kid" who is a grown woman now, spoke about her life growing up as a MK in Kenya. It was a really great night!

Some momentos from the night...

We are very thankful for our home church in MANY ways, but especially thankful for programs like GA's that help teach our daughters about Jesus.

Trick or Treat 2013...

Trick or Treat!!!

While I don't love Halloween and all of its spookiness...I do love that the girls get to celebrate it by dressing up in fun costumes and spending time with family. This year for Halloween we went trick or treating with Todd's older 2 brothers and their families. We had  yummy taco dinner and then headed out for some fun!

Todd and I had some Disney princesses on our hands this year...as Maggie dressed up as Belle from Beauty and the Beast...and Sadie dressed up as Ariel the Little Mermaid.

They loved their fancy costumes!

Cousin time...Lincoln, Davis, Sadie, Maggie, Lucy, Faith and Claire.

Great night out...

Love my little family!

We had brought along our little wagon for Sadie...
She loved riding in it and would sprint back to it after collecting candy.

Cousins Lucy, Faith and Mags...aka...the Dragon fly, Minion and Belle.
