On Saturday, December 27th we celebrated Christmas with all of Todd's family at our house. We had 15 people there including all of Todd's brothers and their wives and children, as well as Todd's parents! We had a great time together. We opened presents, had mexican food and margarita's and watched all of the kiddos play with their new gifts!
The day came and went all too quickly! Below are pics from our time together.
Love to all and Happy New Year, almost!
All of the gang, gathered in our living room...can you believe that present pile...it was huge!
Maggie getting some help from Daddy with her gift...Lucy and Faith looking on and waiting patiently for their turn!
Precious Lucy opening her gifts...
Beautiful Faith with a new outfit for her Madame Alexander doll...
Maggie got this adorable pink shopping cart from her Uncle Clay, Aunt Jenny and cousins Lincoln and Lucy...she loves it!
Maggie was "helping" Daddy put the shopping cart together! Too cute...like I said in the last post...Pete and Repeat!
Davis and Papaw...some handsome fellows, huh!
Lincoln opening his gifts...what a cute smile!
Maggie and her new little doggy...that looks just like our real doggy Buddy...I think this face she was making was..."I can't believe all these presents are for me"! What a spoiling Christmas was for her!

Christmas morning...
Christmas morning at home...what a blessing!
This was the first year EVER in our 5 years of marriage, that Todd and I were able to be at our home...together...on the actual Christmas morning (with my goofy work schedule, having to work holdiays or traveling to Lubbock to be with Todd's family--it just has never happened before)!
We had a wonderful time and made many memories. We really enjoyed watching Maggie wake up to her new presents. We had coffee, a yummy breakfast and we stayed in our PJ's until the afternoon!
Todd's parents, little brother Nathan and little sister Hannah were also able to be with us on Christmas morning. They were actually in town almost the whole week, from Wednesday until Sunday. It was so nice to spend such quality time with them. Maggie enjoyed all of the endless attention from all of them too!
We are so very blessed to have such a loving and generous families on both sides of our family!
Below are some pics from the day!
Maggie in her Christmas outfit...
Maggie's big gift from Santa...
Coming down the hall to see all of her family and gifts ...
Playing with her kitchen...she knew exactly what to do with it all...kids are so smart!
Adding a little spice to her pot...
Checking out what was in the oven...
Why is it that kiddos always open the present, and then get in the box it came in?
Daddy and Maggie playing with her new toy...so precious! What a great daddy!
More playing together...with her new ball machine!
Too funny right? Todd's parents bought these adorable matching #48 Jimmie Johnson Nascar chairs for Maggie and Todd! Can you say...Pete and Repeat!

Christmas with the family...
Todd, Maggie and I just celebrated Christmas with my side of the family this last weekend. We are so blessed to have such a large family...on both sides. Lots of love to go around, you know! We celebrated on Saturday night with my maternal grandparents and extended family. Then spent the night at my parents house Saturday night, and had a Christmas breakfast with my parents, brothers & sister in laws and their families!
It was a super fun weekend! There is nothing we treasure more than time with family.
Many of you may already know this, but Christmas at Nana & Pawpaw's (maternal grandparents) is usually very unique, to say the least! Every year, from as far back as I can remember, is based on a theme. Yes, a theme. All of course, to go along with the real meaning of Christmas...Christ's birth. We have had themes like "A Prairie Christmas", "Christmas Cruise Ship", "A Mexican Christmas", "Christmas on the Orient", " Christmas at the Kentucky Derby", "50's Christmas style"...etc... The evening is usually all themed out with the food, decor, entertainment and costumes. Nana is quite creative!
This year we had a "Tennessee Mountain Radio Show Christmas". We ate fried chicken, fried okra, mashed potatoes and other southern food. We had an array of Tennessee mountain people (aka: the children) dressed up, as well as some Tennessee mountain music and games. It was memorable and fun, like always.
Below are a million pictures from the weekend...sorry for so many! It was too hard to narrow down which ones to post! Any how, I hope you enjoy getting to see my family and our traditions!
Merry Christmas! Love to all.........
all 6 cousins...from oldest to youngest...Morgan, Macy, Jerod, Jackson, Joshua and Maggie
