Cousins come for a Spring Break visit...

In March, Maggie had Spring Break off! It was a glorious week of no schedule, no homework and sleeping in! Also we managed to squeeze in some much needed cousin time. My oldest brother Justin's 3 kids came to spend the night for a few nights. My girls were ecstatic!

We played, ate junk food, watched movie, played XBOX, stayed up late and had a little Fort Worth adventure. We took a picnic to the Botanical Gardens and then went roller skating. Roller skating had been something we were saving for Spring Break. It was a super great day. I am sure blessed with some amazing nieces and nephews! And I am so appreciative of how sweet they ALWAYS are to my kids.

Living museum day at Mags school...

Maggie's school hosted a Living Museum in early March. It was so fun to participate in. Each child picked a person from history to read and research about. Then they had to dress like the person and give a 1-2 minute speech about their person with interesting facts and quotes.

Maggie picked to be Sally Ride, the first woman in Space.

I do believe she is the CUTEST astronaut I have ever seen!

This was when she got to give her speech to her teacher, Mrs. Smith ans some of  her peers. She got a 100 on her project!

Martha Washington was there...
Harriett Tubman...
Pocohontas...
Dr. James Forten...
Such cute women of history...
And of course...Neil Armstrong and Maggie had loads to talk about!!!!

Love bringing history to life!

Maggie's valentines day party...

Back in February, Maggie got to celebrate Valentines day at her school with a Valentines day morning Ball. She got to have a yummy breakfast, quote poetry, enjoy a photo booth and dance with her classmates. It was a very special way to celebrate LOVE day...and speaking of love....we LOVE Mags new school.

The decor was DARLING!!!!

Isn't this a special way of seeing the word Valentine?
Yumm-o!

Me and my girl...

Reading her poetry...

Her class had learned a line dance...to perform for the parents! So precious. Love that she got to learn about rhythm and have fun. She was so cute. Look at that BIG grin.

Enjoying the photo booth!
