After our "Fun in the Sun" time at the beach...Todd and I and the girls loaded up and came home via San Antonio. We love going to San Antonio and especially love going to Sea World. While we were there we stayed at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort. It is a wonderful, family style resort with loads of activities to do almost hourly. There is a lazy river, a playground, a movie on the lawn each evening, a S'mores station every night, jewelry making times, face painting/air brush tattoos, scavenger hunts, balloon artists...the list could go on. All of the entertainment is included in your stay. We ordered room service, slept in, swam and played until much past the girls bedtimes.
The resort is set back in the Hill country. There are tons of plants/tree/flowers that are all native to Texas. It is a plantation style hotel. I love how it looks! So beautiful, and quaint.
Maggie checking out the playground.
The girls got a quick play in before heading to the pool.

A view by the pool...
Sadie taking off to swim...
My girls are such little water babies. They LOVE to swim and are really good at it for just 5 and 2. Love their sweet grins.
Lazy river time...
Mags got a "air brush" tattoo of a humming bird drinking from a sunflower. We saw several humming birds there on the property and she was excited to get one of her own.
The girls took part in a "necklace" making class.
We loved the Smores station every night! Yumm-o!
We spent 2 days at Sea World and love, love, loved it!

Ready for the Shamu show...
Maggie got to say "hello" to Shamu with a wave!
My precious family...
Amazing!
Our very most favorite thing to do at Sea World is go to their Dolphin Cove and feed the dolphins.
You get to purchase fish to hand feed them. It is a wonderful time to be so up close and personal with such a sweet animal.
We got to know them all and their individual markings. We all noticed this one seemed especially friendly and older looking. After some inquiry we found out he is the oldest dolphin in captivity. He is 37 years old. Most dolphins in the wild only live to be around 20-25 years old. So captivity has added a decade, at least to his life. So interesting, I think.
We also spent a lot of time in the Sesame Street Bay of Play. They have loads of rides that are perfect for the 7 and under crowd.
We also enjoyed the aquarium. It was dark and cool and full of amazing creatures.
Yes, we went back and fed the dolphins again....and again!!!! Love that part!
Mags was so excited with her two treats she picked out. Cotton candy and a sweet stuffed Sea Lion. Love my little animal lover. You should see her bed...it literally looks like a zoo. Complete with a collection ranging from a duckbill platypus to a wolf. Ha!
Waiting for the Sea lion, Walrus, Otter show to begin...
My sweet blessings!!!
Todd and Maggie both picked the Sea lions and Otters out as their favorite animals there. They loved feeding them and watching them. Todd said they reminded him of a cat.
Maggie is holding a "alligator biscuit". She got to hear a educational speech about them and then feed them. She thought is was super cool!
After 8 days away from home, we were all ready to head back. We missed our beds and animals the most. Nothing quite like Home Sweet Home!!!!
Love to all,
Leah
