Lake Cherokee fun with the Flynt's...

For my brother Jason's birthday, he asked all of the rest of the Flynt gang to come hang out with him at his favorite lake for a birthday weekend of family fun! We were all thrilled at the idea and couldn't wait. We went out to Lake Cherokee in East Texas. A big thanks to his inlaws for letting our crew take over their lake house for the weekend. So much fun! I hadn't been a "lake rat" since our family had a boat back in high school. I had almost forgotten how much fun it was.

I could seriously turn back into a weekend lake girl pretty easily.

We ate, played, swam, floated, ski-id
, tubed, kayaked and rested!!!
Honestly, kind of hoping Jason will request it every year. Ha!
My oldest brother Justin or "Uncle JD" with Morgan and Macy...

My sweet Maggie was in heaven...water and cousins are a few of her favorite things!!!!

Lakeside napping at its best!

This girl had some kayaking skill-Z!!! Loved it, really so much fun.

Lake rats everywhere!!!
I even remembered how to ski! It had been about a decade and childbirth twice, since I had water ski-id. I am not very athletic, but put me on some skis...snow or water and I can GO!!!

Such a fun time, already looking forward to next year!!!!!

Love to all,
Leah

Happy 4th of July, 2013!

Check out these Fourth of July cuties!!!
Aren't these little patriotic  apron dresses so darling?

Daddy and his girls!
Me and my little sparklers, ha!

For the fourth, we went out to some friends house that live outside the city limits. We swam, ate and set off fireworks. What a fun night!
Sadie loving riding on the ATV...
and swinging from it too. Lord, help me!
Love this one...awe, those smiles!
So pretty!

Maggie (my cautious, safety girl) decided she was big enough to set off her own Roman candle. So big all of the sudden.
1-2-3...
Pretty proud of herself!

Loved celebrating the special day with some fun friends!!!

Cookie the Hamster...

In early July, Maggie got to attend a super fun summer camp. It was called Camp Safari and was an interactive animal day camp. It was located at a local school, where the campers got to learn about over 70 different species of animals. They learned about their habitats, diet, behavior and grooming. My little animal lover was in heaven! She has always had a special affinity for animals and loved getting to see and handle the various animals up close and personally.

Maggie loved learning about the birds.
One of the stars of the camp is this big girl...Rosie the albino Burmese python. She is roughly 14 ft long, fyi. This picture of her was of her just hanging out in her feeding pool out in the middle of the hallway after she had just eaten a frozen, full size bunny. Wow!

Maggie got to go to camp with a few of her favorite people. Her cousins Lincoln and Lucy and bestie Clayton, all had a great time that week. The guy in the middle is Mr. Allison, he runs the camp and does all the teaching. Cool guy!

The very best part of the camp experience was that at the end of the week each camper was able to bring home a "critter" to host for the weekend. You could select your 3 top choices. They had every kind of critter you could imagine at camp. Snakes, lizards, ferrots, bunny's, birds, hamsters, mice, hedgehogs, tarantulas, skinks, turltes, chinchillas, parrots etc. Maggie's top choices were a hamster, ferrot, then hedgehog. We got picked to host a hamster. So Thursday after camp we loaded up our little new friend and headed home. We forgot to ask the hamsters name or gender...so we gave it a weekend name of "Cookie".
Meet Cookie.
It was a darling, calm, cuddly, clean little guest. Maggie LOVED it!
She played dress up with it.
Cleaned her cage...
and carried it around every where with her...
even in her pocket!
The last morning of her stay, the girls decided they wanted to have breakfast with Cookie. It would stay in this big bowl and just hang out. It was a fun way to safely have her out of the cage.

Maggie even took a nap with it. Can you see it all snuggled up and sleeping in the middle of the picture? Two peas in a pod!!! It was a very sweet guest and we were thankful to have it over the weekend. It sure made us wish we could keep it for longer.

If you can keep a secret...We are going to get the girls both a hamster for Christmas! Yay!!!

Already looking forward to Camp Safari next year!

Sadie turns 3!!!!

IT feels like just a MINUTE ago, my baby girl Sadie was born.
Such a big, little thing! Ha!
Born with the most kissable cheeks ever!

Time really does zoom by, when you are having fun!

On June 29th, our little Sadie turned 3! Her birthday got squeezed between our family trip to the beach and another family vacation on a cruise...so we opted for a small weekday McDonald's play land party. She got to invite a few friends, eat her favorite meal (chicken nuggets, fries and apples) and got to play on the play land. Sadie is pretty crazy about Ariel the mermaid from the Disney show Little Mermaid...so that was her theme.
Ariel and Sadie's fun "under the sea" cupcakes!

It's a party!!!
Sweet sisters...

Sadie's favorite boys!!! Our besite's the Carpenters...

Crazy face time!!!
My mom was sweet and decided to join us for lunch!!! She is the best mama/Gigi one could ask for.
Beautiful girl...

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday dear Sadie, Happy Birthday to YOU!!!

Make a wish!
Love my girls SOOOOO!
