Tiny Dancer...Spring 2014!

Sadie participated in dance class again with Ms Mindy at the local community center. She took ballet and tap and loved it. It was a good class for her. She met new friends and learned some basic dance moves. Unfortunately, she missed the recital due to bad weather and a reschedule conflict. But still had a great time!
Warm up and stretch time...
Sadie's favorite part of class, where Ms. Mindy gave everyone a stamp on their hand!

Look at those tap moves...
Here she is indeed admiring herself in the mirror. Cracking me up! She actually gave herself a kiss on the mirror too. Crazy girl!!!

Love our tiny dancer!!!!

New year, New school!!!

Throughout Maggie's first semester of 1st grade Todd and I had began to have a feeling that her current school might not be the best place for our family. So in November my best friend and I went to tour a different school in the area for 2014-2015 year. We both LOVED the school and the people. We overwhelmingly felt like it was the school the Lord had for our kiddos. While there for the tour, I talked about how much I wished Maggie could be at the school. The administration called me a few days after the tour and expressed to me that they sinced in their hearts that our family was a good fit for their school and that they actually had 2 openings in 1st grade for January if we were interested. Todd and I felt like that was the Lord opening a door wide open for us...so we marched right through it. We did our family interview, had Maggie assessed and bought books over break. We were ready for her first day on January 6th.

We transferred schools and have been soooooooo blessed and thankful to be where we are now. Maggie made the transition seamlessly and was excited to meet new friends. She transitioned to a small class of 13 counting her. Her new school had chapel every day, library time, music and PE. She had 2 darling teachers. Mrs. Smith was her homeroom teacher and she taught Reading, handwriting, and history...and then her other teacher Mrs. Guadalupe taught math, science and grammar.
No first day jitters for this precious girl! She was EXCITED!
Mrs. Smith was a doll and had a very sweet countenance about her. Maggie really liked her, and Mrs. Smith was very complimentary of our girl. On her 1st six weeks report card  Mrs. Smith said this...
So wonderful to hear from a teacher. Just music to this mama and daddy's heart!

We are looking forward to being a part of this school for many years to come!!!

Snow day at TMS!

Over Christmas break we had my nieces over for a slumber party. In our area, the Texas Motor Speedway was hosting a snow-town exhibit. So we went to check it out. There was a snow hill for tubing and snow for snowman building. It was a cold day of fun!

Todd turns 37!

The end of the year also means that its my Toddey's birthday. God saved the best for last, and Todd's birthday is December 31st. He is 37 this year. For his special day, he chose a "shoot out" day at the Ranch. We celebrated with steak and baked potato, guns and chocolate cake. Those are a few of my hubby's FAVORITE things. LOL!
I did my best at a chocolate fudge bday cake complete with men shooting and a target!
My handsome hubby can make Camo look so good!

Sadie and Morgan...
A shoot out day means many things...fresh air and sunshine, cousin time, riding 4 wheelers, lots and lots and lots of guns and ammo, time with the family and going home with GSR and the smell of gun powder on your clothes. HEHE!

Daddy, Jerod and Justin...
My Todd mixing Tanorite, which explodes when shot. A dude's dream guns and explosives. Totally legal by the way, in case you were wondering.

My uncle Tom...

Cousin time flying a kite...

Joshua shooting the AR for the fist time....
So glad my hubby had fun on his birthday and got to do some of his favorite things! I love having a hubby with guns. Makes this girls feel SAFE!
